Moonlight Serenaders

The Moonlight Serenaders is a group which features mainly the music of the "Great American Songbook" from the composers such as Gershwin, Cole Porter and Rogers and Heart, to name just a few. While this music normally appeals to the older set there are a good deal of younger followers as well; witness the popularity of performers Harry Connick and Michael Buble in recent years.

For the past 3 years, we have performed at many libraries and senior facilities, the majority of them in Suffolk County and we would like to develop more venues in Nassau County as well. The response and feedback from our audiences is always very positive and we have often been asked back the following year or multiple times in the same year. Last year we kicked off the Town of Hempstead's summer senior entertainment program in Lido Beach, performing the opening week before large enthusiastic audiences.

Our group is made up of Piano, Drums, Sax, Trumpet and Vocalist, but the size of the group can be adjusted to meet the needs of a particular venue. In addition to the American Songbook, we also feature tributes to some of the greats in our musical heritage including Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis and Henry Mancini. Our performances often feature concert style programs, programs for dancing as well as a variety of special themes such as "Senior" proms, Valentines Day, patriotic events, Mother's Day and holiday and New Years parties.

Our core musicians have performed and continue to perform with many of Long Island's established big bands and our vocalist has appeared in New York City cabaret as well.

If you believe our group would be an asset to your program please contact Wallace Feith at (516) 826-3270.
